Dr. Hernández completed his medical studies at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, and a Podiatry residency and internship at the University District Hospital. He did his Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at the University District Hospital, and is currently part of the Salus medical faculty.

Antonio Rodríguez Mimoso

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Rodríguez pursued his medical studies, internship, and residency at the Medical College of Virginia. He currently leads the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital and is a member of its Peer Review Committee. He is also part of the Salus medical faculty.

Arturo R. Córdova López

Arturo R. Córdova López

Pneumology

Dr. Córdova studied in the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in medicine. He did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine under Harvard University at the Boston City Hospital, and he completed his Pneumology specialization at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He also earned a master’s degree in Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. He returned to Puerto Rico as head of Pneumology at the Veterans Hospital, where he developed the first pneumology academic program in Puerto Rico. This program graduated 23 pneumologists. He is also an associate professor of medicine at the School of Medicine. He established his private practice in Pneumology and Intensive Care, and was Medical Director at Clínica Las Américas in Guaynabo, which is now known as Salus. He currently works as an internist, pneumologist, and bariatric physician at the Salus Clinic, where he also directs the Pulmonary Function Lab and Weight Loss Program.

Dr. Báez majored in Hematology and Oncology at New York University / Bellevue Medical Center, and he has participated in over forty publications and more than thirty research projects. He has earned several awards, including the Doctor’s Choice Award (Hematology-Oncology), which he has received on four different occasions. He completed his studies in General Surgery at Hahnemann University, and Colorectal Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, both in Philadelphia. He has been head of the American Cancer Society and the Puerto Rico chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He was appointed State Chair of Puerto Rico in the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. He is an associate professor of Surgery at UPR and is involved in scientific research projects for several peer-reviewed publications. He has authored a chapter on proctological disorders and delivered presentations at various scientific conferences in Puerto Rico, United States, and Central America. He has 30 years of experience in colorectal surgery, and has recently also specialized on modern proctology practices.
